The oversees food pantries in Andes and Roxbury for persons in need food assistance. This outreach provides emergency food assistance to needy food insecure persons and families throughout the area. Funds were used to procure food and to provide oversight and operational expenses for three pantries that are run by volunteers. We also provide religious and devotional material for residents in our area nursing homes. We have also received a one-time grant in 2020 to facilitate assistance to people affected adversely by COvID 19 We used part that grant in 2021 to help transition the Roxbury Food Pantry into a new location when its former home in a church proved unsatisfactory. Another part that grant was used to help move a trailer home for a family who fix it up and make it their home.

The purpose of the Foundation is make funds available exclusively to a broad range of section 501(c)(3) Public Charities whose needs correspond to the philanthropic goals of its founders come within the purposes outlined in section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The organization will provide fundraising support financial assistance to endeavors causes, either directly or indirectly to other qualified organizations, as deemed appropriate by the corporation. In 2018 the organizations served 70 individuals and families affected substance use and/or mental health disorders. Due to the increase of opiate and heroin use in Connecticut the demand of trained recovery coaches there was a greater need to support individuals and families during the drug epidemic crisis. The program objectives is to provide a non-judgmental safe environment, train 60 new recovery coaches to learn how to assist individuals and families struggling with addictions by finding access to treatment and recovery, mental health first aid training and family support groups. A comprehensive survey was provided to all participants indicating demographics and to measure the outcome of success for the training and support groups.
